How the event was born
The
Luciano Pavarotti International Voice Competition originated from a desire to acknowledge the great tenor's standing and pay homage to his interest in young singers.
The idea of creating an international opera competition in memory of Luciano Pavarotti arose as soon as the great tenor passed away, stemming from a bond of gratitude shared by Modena City Council, the city's Modena Municipal Theatre Foundation and Milan's La Scala Theatre.
The competition aims to attract young singers from every corner of the globe, selected by a panel of judges made up of renowned performers and experts, offering a unique opportunity to showcase their talents.
The initiative is backed by the Italian Ministry of Cultural Heritage and Activities.
